What is Conway’s Game of Life?
The Game of Life (GoL) is a cellular automaton devised by the British mathematician John Horton Conway in 1970. It’s a zero-player game, meaning its evolution is determined by its initial state, requiring no further input. The game consists of a grid of cells, each of which can be in one of two states: alive or dead. The state of the grid evolves through a series of steps according to a set of simple rules:

Rules of the Game
- Birth: A dead cell with exactly three live neighbors becomes a live cell.
- Survival: A live cell with two or three live neighbors remains alive; otherwise, it dies.
- Death: A live cell with fewer than two live neighbors dies (underpopulation), and a live cell with more than three live neighbors dies (overpopulation).
The game progresses by applying these rules to every cell on the grid at each step. This creates complex patterns and behaviors from simple initial conditions.
How to run
To run the Game of Life simulation in Go, make sure you have Go installed. Then, use the following command:
make
This will execute the program and start the simulation.
